Viikon kohokohta oli tutustuminen juuri valmistuneeseen uintikeskukseen. Vesi avannossa oli juuri niin kylmää kuin pariasteinen vesi voi olla.
Viikkoon osui pari aurinkoista päivää. Muuten oli melko harmaata ja lämpötila jopa plussan puolella. Saksalaisia oli liikkeellä paljon. Mäntyrovan kämpällä tapasimme heitä suuren joukon. Olin iloinen koulussa hankitusta saksan kielen taidostani. Saksalaiset ylistivät kovasti Lapin hiljaisuutta. Heille on hyvin eksoottista voida hiihtää oikeassa vanhassa metsässä. Taas tuli todistettua, ettei turistien houkuttelemiseen tarvita muuta kuin puhdasta alkuperäistä luontoa.

Climax of the week was acquainting to just completed swimming center. The water in hole in the ice was just so cold as two degrees water can be.
Couple of sunny days was hit to the week. Otherwise it was rather grey and temperature even on plus degrees. There were a lot of German tourists. In Mäntyrova cabin we met a large group of them. I was happy when I had learned in the school Germany language skill. Germans praised much the silence of Lapland. To them is was very exotic be able to ski in the right old forest. Again came proved, that to tempting of the tourists is not needed other than clean original nature.
