Visiting Parikkala and Retretti 14th - 19th July 2003

 
 

Parikkala is in eastern Finland just close to Russian border.
We lived in an old house owned by Hannu Siitonen,
who is well known wildlife photographer and former top athlete
( European Champion and Olympic medallist in javelin)
In Parikkala there is good possibilities to observe birds in Siikalahti.
Close by is Punkaharju and its art center Retretti where we use to visit every summer.
In the way home we also visited the Salmela art exhibition in Mäntyharju.
